Pontiac GTO Convertible 455

This 1971 Pontiac GTO is on one of 43 convertibles produced for the model year equipped with a 455ci V8 and a three-speed automatic transmission, and it was finished from the factory in Quezal Gold over Sienna vinyl upholstery.
Finished from the factory in Quezal Gold with vinyl side stripes, the car was repainted during the aforementioned refurbishment. A replacement soft top was installed in preparation for the sale, and the car is equipped with a color-keyed Endura front bumper, a twin-scoop hood, a hood-mounted tachometer, and quad exhaust outlets.
Rally II-style 14″ wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The seats were trimmed in Sienna vinyl from the factory, and the interior was refreshed under prior ownership. Appointments include engine-turned trim, a center console, an AM/FM radio, and air conditioning.The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and a combination gauge with a fuel level readout and warning lights. The five-digit odometer is partially legible, and approximately 500 miles have been added under current ownership.
The 455ci V8 was equipped from the factory with a single four-barrel carburetor.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission.
